INLNA Convention 2019 and beyond – LEIC will be well represented by a large delegation in Winnipeg for the 2019 Convention taking place over the May long weekend.  Calgary has been selected by the INLNA to host the 2021 Convention. Our last convention in 2008 was a great success and we are looking forward to the challenge of making 2021 even better for our visitors from across North America and Iceland. The date has been set for May 13 – 16, 2021. We are in the process of selecting the host site now. Our theme will be “Celebrating the Arts” with a focus on Alberta’s Icelandic heritage  and all Canadians of Icelandic descent who are involved in the various art forms; writing (authors, poets), music (singers, musicians, song writers, composers), and visual arts (painters, sculptures, photography, graphic arts).

Nancy Tarr is doing a wonderful job as Care and Concern person for the LEIC. If you know of anyone who is having health issues or is celebrating a special birthday or anniversary -please let Nancy know by calling her at 403-253-7433.
